Hydromat Technician - Machine Building Duties:

If you like intellectual challenges and need opportunities to grow and further develop your craft, Hydromat is the place for you. This position requires assembly work (i.e. precision slides, ball screw and rails, part handling automation, spindles). Preferably with cutting tool knowledge and ability to program CNC equipment and solid understanding of feeds and speeds.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to maintain good communications with team, willing to identify problems, and provide suggestions. Set up, adjust, operate and monitor precision machining operations. Includes aligning and securing fixtures, tools, or materials onto the machine. Measure, examine, and/or test completed units/assemblies using precision measuring instruments. Complete required paperwork and ensure conformance to specifications. Assist in the development of assembly team through training and shared knowledge. Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times; identify and report safety issues. Self-motivated driven individual with willingness to learn and take ownership of a project.


Associates degree (AA) in Precision Machining or Industrial Technology from a two-year college or technical school is highly preferred and/or the equivalent; minimum two (2) years practical experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience with machine building or maintenance experience, general knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and blue print schematic reading, excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting experience associated with machine tools and assembly skills. Candidates must be willing to travel 25% of the time (domestic and international). This position requires the technician to install, service, and troubleshoot Hydromat's electrically, mechanically, and hydraulically.
